Programme interests
There are so many programmes that I would love to work on, I hope I get the opportunity to work on live shows such as This Morning, Xtra Factor and X Factor, Britain Got More Talent and Strictly Come Dancing. After working on ITV's Keep It in The Family recently I would really like to work on game shows such as CatchPhrase and iconic long running shows like Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Deal or no Deal. Finally I would like to work on factual television shows like Horizon and Bang goes the Theory so I can explore some of the psychology topics I enjoyed at University.

State your attraction to the TV industry
I first discovered that television is the industry I want to work in when I became involved in student television and made a show called Science Uncovered. This is a show that takes a science question and answers it in a fun and dynamic way with contributions from students and lecturers from campus. The skills I developed from this experience includes presenting, writing, research, editing and live production. I am extremely proud of the show as in April 2013 Science Uncovered won Best Factual at the National Student Television Awards as judged by Alan Holland, a BBC producer who has worked on shows like Bang Goes the Theory and Star Gazing live and this was the feedback he gave the show ...

This entry was a joy to watch. It looked brilliant, was extremely well edited and had bags and bags of highly original content. The film-makers clearly have a great understanding of the tools in their television armoury. Animations, experiments, expert interviews, vox-pops, graphics - this show was just crammed full of good storytelling devices. The three presenters were great, the information covered well research and scripted, and importantly, each new episode felt fresh. It's the sort of show you'd watch week after week because you'd never know what to expect next. Popular science is a hard nut crack on TV - it needs to be compelling but entertaining, challenging yet accessible - and I think the team at UniTV rose to the challenge admirably. Having made science TV myself, I wasn't expecting to see something of such high quality in this competition how wrong I was. Very, very worthy winners.

Since then I have sought as many television opportunities as possible including winning a competition to attend a presenting workshop as run by IdeasTap. I attended an editorial ethics master-class as presented by commissioners and lawyers at Channel 4. I gained a work experience placement at the BBC in their factual development department and more recently I joined Bradley Walsh for his new game show Keep It In the Family. I am looking to gain experience in all areas of television from production to editing and am excited to see where my career in television takes me.

How do you relax?
Outside of work, I actually do enjoy watching television from the soaps to my favourite show Dr Who. I like that you can switch of and get lost in a program or get excited or angered by the drama of a live show like X factor. I also love to dance where when I go out I am the first on the dance floor and the last to leave, I dance everyday around the house and from my love of dance I have a passion for music. I am a very creative person and enjoy making scrapbooks of photos, bracelets, and painting.

I have many creative interests where I have created many scrapbooks of photos, I like to paint, draw, make cards as well as make friendship bracelets. I have always considered myself an artistic person and I like to make things. I am also passionate about photography; I take lots of photos and value how they capture memories.
