A Day in the Life
Graphics Design Director
What you do: The range of the job?
As part of the Broadcast design team, I specialise in giving clients creative solutions, whether it be title sequences, content graphics or commercials. Marlon Griffin BBC TV
Qualities: What you need to be able to do the job?
A good eye & even better ideas! Willingness to do all nighters, good communication skills.
Career path: How you start and where you can go with it?
A degree in Graphic Design is a good starting point. Also storyboarding your ideas, getting used to thinking in sequences/moving image, but most important is your energy to keep knocking on doors and phoning people until they give you a job! Getting your foot in the door is the hardest bit, once in it’s easy for you to show off your talents!
